So, we are living in unchartered territories with the spread of the virus Covid-19. I'll be honest, I don't think the impact of the coronavirus has really sunken in for me yet - and given that I run a small business and work for one - the lockdown is a big change to my life. But I wanted to reach out to let you know what I'm doing, as a small business and how you can still shop small and support JLD. The online store is running as normal and please be assured, I am adhering to high safety measures with extra cleaning, hand washing and hygiene in place to ensure that your parcels have been packed taking all necessary precautions. I am still sending parcels out regularly and if in the UK you will normally receive your parcel in 1-2 days. Luckily most of the parcels can be posted as large letters - so I am able to order postage online, print labels at the studio and send off via a postbox on our daily (social distancing) walk.
If you have pressies to buy but aren't wanting to accept any parcels then the gift vouchers are now available to purchase online and can be used on the website now or at a future date for a little treat yourself treat! While in lockdown I thought I'd try and start a blog - half planning on improving and building oin the website - half out of wanting to maintain a social contact with the outside world. I plan on sharing whatever I've been up to in the studio, along with anything I've been doing during the lockdown to pass the time - recipes, playlists, book reads and some plants will feature I'm sure. Anything to help get through this strange times. I'll be sharing the stories on the blog and social media feeds, in the hope it will offer a little bit of monochrome goodness and something to brighten your day!
With this in mind I'd love to know what you want to see during this difficult time. Let us know by emailing email@example.com .
Thank you to everyone who has supported this little business so far, by ordering online, liking social posts, having a chat or buying something at an event or one of my amazing stockists. Your support is invaluable in keeping this little biz going.
Take care, stay safe and wash those hands,
